Tumble Lindy Hop Jive CIC

Tumble Lindy Hop Jive has secured working contracts with both Mencap and Age Cymru Dyfed, delivering sessions of Therapeutic movement and dance sessions into the heart of the community, to people helping with both mental and physical wellbeing and socialisation. Across the different services that TLHJ delivers from seated dance, regular lessons for both partner and solo dancers, events, including live music, care home and small community groups, sessions have reached over 1000 different people throughout Carmarthenshire. Sessions are also delivered to groups including Parkinson`s Support Groups, Carmarthen Stroke Club, Shadows Depression Group, Headway to name but a few. In addition to this, movement and dance sessions have been delivered to the community via community events, dancing in the park, local attractions, commemorative events such as Armed Forces Day, D-Day and celebration days. People have danced in the streets, parks, halls, schools, on the beach and even on the TV. TLHJ have held fundraising events for Prostate Cymru and Ty Bryngwyn Hospice, raising over £4,000.00 and danced for 24 hours. The aim of Tumble Lindy Hop Jive is to bring music and dance to ALL regardless of age, ability or mobility in 2025 and now reach further afield in Carmarthenshire. TLHJ have also secured their own dance studio within the Wellbeing Centre of Parc Dewi Sant in the heart of Carmarthen, allowing more sessions to be delivered each day. Now working with social prescribers we aim to work more closely with local GPs and Health care professionals.
