2. The product

A dataset is a CSV file (UTF-8) listing the companies that match a ready-made segment or the filters you choose, with up to 44 columns per company. It is derived from the Companies House public register (snapshot 1 Oct 2026; accounts filed Oct 2021 – Aug 2026). Before you pay, the product page shows the number of companies, the fields, a preview and the price. The CSV does not include director, shareholder or persons-with-significant-control records. It does include company names and registered-office details; some company information may also identify an individual.

3. Price and payment

  • Prices are in pounds sterling and depend only on the number of companies in the file, using the graduated scale shown on the datasets page.
  • Prices shown exclude tax. Any applicable VAT or sales tax is calculated from your location and shown before you confirm payment.
  • Payment is taken by card or other methods offered at checkout through our payment provider, Stripe. Your contract is formed when payment is confirmed.
  • Stripe may email a payment receipt to the address provided at checkout, depending on its receipt settings.

4. Delivery

Delivery is immediate: once payment is confirmed, the download appears on the order page in the same browser used for checkout. The download link is valid for 7 days from payment and may be used several times during that period. Please save the file promptly. If you cannot download it, contact companymetrics@protonmail.com with your order reference.

5. Right of withdrawal

Consumers in the EU and UK usually have 14 days to cancel online purchases. For digital content supplied immediately, this right ends once supply begins, if you have expressly agreed to immediate supply and acknowledged that you lose the right. You give this consent at checkout. Our voluntary refund policy still lets you get a refund for unused orders and faulty files.

6. Quality and your rights

The file will match its description at the time of purchase. Figures are reproduced as filed and are not independently verified; blank values mean a figure was not available in the accounts we hold. If the file is faulty, incomplete or not as described, you are entitled to a corrected file or a refund under our refund policy, in addition to any statutory rights.

7. Licence

  • You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the dataset within your organisation, including in CRMs, internal tools, analysis, client deliverables and reports.
  • You may not resell, sublicense or publish the dataset, or a substantial part of our classifications and derived metrics, as a standalone or competing data product.
  • This does not restrict your rights in the underlying public-sector information under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
  • You are responsible for using the data lawfully, including data protection and electronic marketing rules (such as UK GDPR and PECR).

8. Liability

Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law or your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, our total liability for any order is limited to the price paid for it, and we are not liable for business customers' loss of profit, revenue or data, or for indirect loss.

9. Complaints and disputes

Contact companymetrics@protonmail.com; we reply within 5 business days. These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. Consumers keep the protection of the mandatory laws where they live and may use their local courts or an out-of-court body; EU consumers may contact the European Consumer Centre Luxembourg (cecluxembourg.lu). Otherwise the courts of Luxembourg City have jurisdiction.
