We Skate Soton CIC

The company, We Skate Soton, is a women-led skate community, with a focus on creating a space for beginners to thrive in skating. For the period ending 31 October 2024 the principal activities have involved regular meet ups across skate spots and skate spaces in Hampshire, creating a space for community members to skate and connect with others. We organised the skate area at Multi Stories, a weekend-long art, skate and music event in Southampton. We created a temporary skatepark in an area that is usually not skated and also hosted free taster sessions over the weekend. We have continued to introduce more people to skating, and having spare boards and protective equipment has meant people can try skating without needing to purchase any equipment themselves.
