The company continued to run mixed ability boxing sessions in Bradford during the year. Our boxing coaches and tutors (male and female) deliver the non-contact sessions. Our sessions are based around the mixed ability model - a research backed approach to inclusivity in sport - and our participants include people with autism, downs syndrome, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, cancer survivors, people living with crohns disease, endometriosis and mental health conditions. The content of the training is the same as in a general boxing gym with the exception of sparring, benefits of mixed ability boxing include physical and mental health benefits, increased confidence and reduction in social isolation.
