MJ Languages-Polish Community Centre CIC's aim is to provide assistance and support mainly (but not only)to people in Polish and other Eastern European communities in the Wakefield District.Organization's main regular activities were:1. Interpreting & translation in two languages (Polish and English) - interpreting face to face/over thetelephone/online and written translations of documents.2. Polish Saturday School (for children) - The aim of the teaching is Polish Language with elements of Polishliterature and knowledge about Polish culture, as well as the geography and history of Poland.3. English language courses - ESOL courses from Entry 1 to Entry 3 including evening and weekend courses.4. Covid-19 Language Support- the aim of the project was to provide support and advice for Polish and otherEastern European Communities in Wakefield District.5. Integrated Language Support Project - the aim of this project was to provide support for vulnerablecommunity members with the language barriers to make claims for Universal Credit, during the life of thebenefit and also through the journey back into work.6. EU Settlement Scheme Project - advice on EUSS and practical support in the application process to EUSettlement Scheme.7. Covid Project - translation of Covid messages to Eastern European languages; vaccination engagementand health promotion with Eastern European communities experiencing health inequalities in WakefieldDistrict
