True You Today CIC
In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. True You Today stands as a beacon of hope and support for those who have endured the ordeal of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other forms of gendered abuse. We support Survivors of human trafficking, people experiencing food poverty as well as many other vulnerable situations. In a world where such Survivors often find themselves isolated and struggling to rebuild their sense of self, we offer a lifeline through our innovative and inclusive workshops. At the heart of our mission lies a dedication to empowering Survivors to reclaim their bodies, their confidence, and their sense of belonging within a supportive community. We recognise healing is not a linear journey, nor is it one that can be undertaken alone. That's why we provide a diverse range of workshops, carefully designed to cater to the unique needs of each individual we work with. Through our carefully curated workshops, we offer Survivors a range of tools and techniques to support their physical and emotional well-being. From dance to yoga, aerial arts to mindfulness, photography, painting, craft, and coaching, our workshops offer a holistic ap-proach to healing that addresses physical and emotional wellbeing. Through our transformative workshops, Survivors not only connect to their strength, resilience sense of wellbe-ing, but also forge deep connections with others who understand and empathise with their struggles. What sets us apart is our unwavering commitment to accessibility and inclusivity. We actively reach out to mar-ginalised communities, ensuring our doors are open to all marginalised genders who seek support. By partner-ing with support services, we extend our reach to local organisations already embedded in our local commu-nity. By providing specialised workshops for frontline workers and volunteers, we equip those on the frontlines of support with the tools and resources they need to better serve their communities, we ensure our impact goes beyond just those directly affected by gendered violence. In a world where self-care often takes a backseat to the daily struggles of life, our workshops offer a sanctuary for wellbeing, free of charge at a time which suits both participants and tutors to centre accessibility and child-care needs. We believe and uphold that wellbeing is not a luxury - it is a fundamental human right. Through our work, we strive to build not only stronger, healthier individuals but also stronger, more resilient communities. By fostering connections, nurturing self-esteem, and instilling hope, we are creating local spaces where Survivors can not only survive but thrive. "It's an absolute lifeline" – L.
