Tight Lines CIC continues to promote wellbeing, connection, and social inclusion through community angling opportunities across Cornwall. Over the past year, the organisation has: • Delivered free, open-access coastal angling events, with 20–50 attendees per session, helping to reduce social isolation and improve mental health among adults, young people, and veterans. • Launched a new 6-week Angling & Wellbeing Programme for students aged 12–15 in partnership with Penair School, supporting those facing social, emotional, and educational challenges. • Provided continuity support for young participants through free access to community socials, mentoring opportunities, and follow-up wellbeing check-ins. • Strengthened partnerships with local organisations widening access to angling and positive outdoor experiences for those who need it most. • Promoted environmental awareness and sustainable fishing practices at all events. • Supported the local economy by sourcing bait, tackle, venues, and refreshments from independent Cornish businesses. • Developed a growing team of volunteer mentors from within the community, enhancing peer support and leadership opportunities. Through these initiatives, Tight Lines CIC has continued to foster wellbeing, inclusivity, and community connection, making a positive difference to individuals and families across the region.
