Threadup CIC

Following on from the delivery of mental health support to artists & creatives from the Global Majority and our contribution to the creation of a national resource for those wanting to up-skill in in the sphere of Creative Health in the project Myriad, we had to respond to important aspects: - Turn our strategy towards what we learned in Myriad - Take time to up-skill ourselves - Take time to look after our own health As a team we initiated the pre planning phase of a heritage project with the Brazilian artistic community in Manchester and UK. This is a slow burning project as it was uncovered by delivering the Myriad project, that this community experiences time poverty and often not feel able to have their wellbeing as a focal point, even when it’s free. The impact ThreadUp CIC is seeking to make is to reach this community in whatever way possible and understand their needs better. ThreadUp CIC delivered an artist neurodiversity friendly space at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in collaboration with the Free Fringe. ThreadUp CIC also delivers a free online mental health support to those working at the festival from Manchester, opening the opportunity for those who have been to the festival delivering work or are still delivering it, to access that support remotely. Those who have accessed it, expressed a positive impact in their wellbeing.
