Thistle Services C.I.C. is a community interest company incorporated on 1 April 2015 and commenced trading on 1 July 2015. Thistle Services C.I.C. delivers supported living services on behalf of Health and Social CarePartnerships. Thistle’s Supported Living service operates from our Centre of Wellbeing in Craigmillar, supporting people in their own homes across Fife and the Lothians.Thistle Services C.I.C. helped support 103 people (2021 - 107), providing an average of 8,152 hours of support a week (2021 – 8,816) to support people to live lives that they want to live, as independently as possible, where they choose to live. Support is highly individualised, personalised, and provided based on a distinctive way of working that: engages people in good conversations that focus on their gifts and strengths; establishes what matters to people and supports them to achieve their aspirations; focuses on the whole person rather than the disability or health condition;enables people to maximise choice and control in their lives by tailoring our input and intervention aroundthe person and their life circumstances; works at the pace of the person and from whatever point they are at in their life; and encourages active citizenship and provides opportunities for people to make a positive contribution byengaging in activities, volunteering, or work that is meaningful to them.This year Thistle Services continued to work on the 2019-2023 strategic priorities as agreed by the Directors. These priorities continue to lay the foundations and prepare the group for the sustainable development of itssupported living work over the longer term.
