The Let Loose Initiative C.I.C.
- Principal Activities of the Company The principal activities of Let Loose Initiative CIC during the financial year were to provide support, encouragement, and opportunities for personal development for victims and survivors of abuse and individuals facing other life challenges through community-based programmes and events. The Company delivered a range of initiatives including music and creative programmes, mentoring sessions, conferences, workshops, and public awareness activities. These included weekly music activities through the gospel band, community choir, and children’s choir, as well as weekly mentoring sessions aimed at supporting individuals to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose. During the year, the Company also organised conferences focused on empowerment and recovery, including the Survivors Conference at Kent County Hall themed “Pain to Purpose” and a conference at the King Charles Hotel themed “Beyond Limitations.” These events provided opportunities for survivors, community members, and dignitaries to engage in dialogue, share experiences, and promote awareness of issues affecting survivors of abuse. Community engagement activities included the 11th edition of the annual outdoor music concert themed “Eminence” held on Gillingham High Street, school workshops, busking and public awareness initiatives, as well as seasonal outreach events such as Street2Street carols and carols at the Pentagon Shopping Centre in Chatham. Through these activities, the Company sought to create safe and supportive environments where individuals could express themselves, access encouragement and mentoring, reduce isolation, and participate in positive community activities.
