The Benita Community Project C.I.C.

We are a small non-profit Community Interest Company who provide a unique one of a kind service across Devon, originating in South Molton, providing the following: - a pop up cafe serving free hot meals and desserts based on food poverty, local to our area where we were also able to combat social isolation and loneliness. This has then expanded to 8 different areas and we served 6,258 meals and gave away 977 gifts and Christmas Day hampers to the most vulnerable. We also support GCSE students with snack boxes to boost mental health and morale. We have provided emergency food packages through schools and health centres for families in need. We teamed up with other communities, such as Skate Molton and Smart Swim CIC to provide haf food over the summer period. We also now have a head office where we provide free live cookery courses, free online courses to reduce educational inequality. We also help with benefit checks advice and support with form filling assistance. As a CIC we are entirely run on donations, raised at each of our meals and various bingos and raffles.
