Sunderland Youth And Community Orchestra CIC

We are into our 4th year of being a CIC, our ethos remains the same as when we started. We continue to maintain a safe an fun environment for our members and for all who wish to discover and learn to play an instrument in an orchestra, providing a forum for all musical abilities and an opportunity to make friends. We adhere to all relevant policies, eg safeguarding, health & safety and risk assessments. All relevant training, DBS checks etc. remain up-to--date. We maintain links with other like-minded groups across the musical arts spectrum, eg youth choir. Our numbers remain stable and we continue to look at recruitment of members. We have retained our tutors for stringed instruments, who teach and play in the orchestra. Social interaction is a key part of our rehearsals, we have a 15-minute break, where members can social over refreshments and provide feedback.
