The service remained continuous with net assets transferred to the CIC. The liability of each member is limited to £1, being the amount that each member undertakes to contribute to the assets of the Company in the event of it being wound up. Aims and objectives The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to advance education and support School Business Leaders (and those working towards such a role) in and around South Yorkshire, by promoting and supporting best practice in school business management, the professional development and wellbeing of School Business Leaders and collaboration and consultation within the education sector. Achievements and Performance The primary mission of the Community Interest Company (CIC) is to provide dedicated support to School Business Leaders (SBLs), helping them effectively fulfil their roles in managing school operations. By equipping SBLs with the necessary tools, knowledge and professional connections, we aim to enhance their impact within educational settings. Our focus is specifically on South Yorkshire, where we strive to strengthen the school business management profession for the benefit of both individual leaders and the wider education sector. Over the past year, we have actively engaged with School Business Leaders by organising a series of online and face to face meetings. These events have served valuable for professional development, networking and peer-to-peer learning. By bringing together individuals in similar roles, we have facilitated knowledge sharing and provided guidance on best practices, ensuring that Business Leaders are well-equipped to handle the evolving challenges within the education sector. In addition to direct engagement, we have placed a strong emphasis on communication and collaboration among School Business Leaders. By encouraging dialogue and the exchange of experiences, we have helped create a supportive professional community where Business Leaders can seek advice, share insights and support and work together to find innovative solutions to common challenges. Furthermore, we have developed and promoted our recently established website and forum, designed to be a central hub of information and support for School Business Leaders. This online platform provides easy access to relevant resources, industry updates and expert advice, while also enabling users to post questions and engage in discussions with their peers. Our goal is to make it easier for School Business Leaders to find the information they need, connect with others in the profession and seek solutions to any issues they encounter in their roles. Through these initiatives, we continue to strengthen the support network for School Business Leaders in South Yorkshire, ensuring they have the necessary resources and opportunities to thrive in their careers and contribute to the success of their schools.
