Gallery CIC is a community interest company founded in 2007. Our Vision is to nurture and develop musicians and musical projects in Exeter and the surrounding areas. Sound Gallery is dedicated to the development of original creative works produced by talented musicians and to the provision of music- making and training opportunities, especially for young people aged 14-25 years who are at risk of social exclusion. Our Theory of Change: We provide music-making and training opportunities in a professional environment for young people who live in challenging circumstances, with an aim to build up their confidence and improve their life skills and technical skills. This increases their employability and opens up opportunities for them to reach their full potential in life. During the financial year ended 30 September 2025, we provided activities which benefited the community in the following ways: We piloted two youth projects: the EPIC sessions and the Rising Artists Camp (supported by The Gibbons Family Trust) which provided recording studio experiences and music production training sessions for young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.- We provided hands-on training opportunities for 8 groups of students from Exeter College Music department (UAL Music Performance Programme). We recorded and produced, demos, singles, EPs, albums and live sessions for local musicians, including bands from Exeter College and the University of Exeter. We supported grassroots musicians and benefited the local music scene by helping artists record their music at a professional level and release it on various digital platforms. SiMPTI, Sound Gallery’s bespoke work experience programme, ran for 5 weeks and provided hands-on training opportunities for 20 young people (15-18 years). The programme included hands-on training sessions (Logic Pro and Ableton Live), recording sessions, music industry seminars & filming sessions in the studio.- In association with long-standing partners and indie record label integrity Records, we delivered music industry seminars to students from Exeter Students’ Guild (University of Exeter) and took part in the Exe Fest and delivered music production training sessions and recorded live performances as part of the Festival at Kay House.
