Sisterhood School C.I.C.
Sisterhood exists to create pathways for confident changemakers. We empower girls and gender expanding youth to design their place in the world by shaping their futures and positively impact their communities. Sisterhood offers 4 distinctive creative programme pathways, from 1-day workshops to 15 week programmes which run within school and the summer holidays allowing girls to access and get involved in creative change-making at the level that works for them. Our award winning programmes take a design-inspired approach for girls to create projects that solve social and systemic issues that affect them, their communities and the wider world; such as inequality, body image, street safety, access to sport, period poverty and online safety. During 2024 - 2025 our activities and impact reached over 900 girls and has resulted in; Our largest delivery of Self Starter entrepreneurial workshop, reaching 667 young people 18 Changemakers founding social businesses that positively impact the world (addressing 7 UN SDGs) by successfully completing our fourth Sisterhood Summer programme in partnership with NatWest Thrive. Additionally, the Sisterhood Summer programme created opportunity and offset the continued cost of living crisis by offering accommodation and travel scholarships for 8 changemakers travelling across the UK as well as giving all changemakers a stipend for meals throughout the 2 week programme. We continued our work with Mulberry School for Girls, this time coming together with Dove Self-Esteem Project to collaborate on a creative workshop on positive body image and confidence, which we delivered to 180 Year 7 students. Branching out our programmes outside of London, we conducted an assembly to Year 8 students at Tomlinscote School in Surrey in order to secure a programme for the following academic year. Additionally we also took on a project with Artstemp, a creative placemaking organisation, where we supported them through a creative consultancy workshop, working with 71 students in Slough to unearth creative insights and ideas to turn into a creative brief and installation at Slough station. Aside from ongoing delivery, we focused on our alumni community, offering 4 quarterly check-ins for Sisterhood Summer participants and 1 community event with VANS. This year, we implemented our Training of Trainers programme, we have now hired and trained 3 freelance facilitators to support with scaling delivery of programmes. Each facilitator has: completed the training for Summer programme and Changemaker Programme
