Regreen Community Interest Company

ReGreen Community Interest Company is a garden maintenance company serving domestic and commercial customers across Newcastle upon Tyne and surrounding areas. During the financial year 2024-2025, the company’s activities have benefited the community in the following ways: - Our customers have been able to have their gardens tended to using a 100% organic approach, without the use of pesticides or herbicides, thus reducing their impact on local wildlife. - In addition to that, our exclusive use of renewables-powered electric garden tools meant our customers had a smaller carbon footprint compared to customers of petrol dependent gardeners. - Additional wooden containers were provided for the residents of the Heaton ward of Newcastle upon Tyne. Using the containers, we involved the local community in growing hundreds of flowers and vegetables in an otherwise grey and paved-up area without any access to convenient growing space. - We carried out a £7,500 renovation of the disused gardens of the Stanton Street Lounge which acts as “move on” accommodation for people who recently experienced extended periods of financial hardship and homelessness. It also acts as a community hub for local community groups. - We planted up several square metres of borders for Everyturn Mental Health - a mental health charity who help people with severe mental health issues. As well as this, we created a vertical garden outside one of their mental health drop in clinics in the city centre. - We built and installed a small wooden 'outdoor library' which is accessible - We gave away 40+ gardening books to the local communities.
