Petallica Flower Farm C.I.C.
At Petallica Flower Farm, community and the environment are at the heart of everything we do. As an organisation, we use sustainable horticulture as a way of engaging and supporting individuals and organisations across South Wales. Over the last 5 years, our farm has become a hub where people in the community come to reconnect with nature, themselves and other people. Every flower we sell, event we hold and project we run has the primary purpose of supporting both people and the planet. We sell our flowers to businesses and individuals across Swansea and run events and workshops for people in the local area. The income we generate helps us to fund our community projects, employ local people and maximise our environmental impact. This financial year, we have: ● Successfully run our Women’s Shed and Growing Connections projects, supporting countless women and men in the community. ● Secured funding from The Austin Bailey Foundation, Oakdale Trust, Shared Prosperity Fund, Swansea Council and the Postcode Community Trust to continue running the Women’s Shed and support people in the community to reconnect with nature. ● Received funding from WCVA and Comic Relief, as well as Swansea Council, to invest in the growth of our organisation through activities such as strategy development and increasing income generation. ● Run a CSA flower subscription scheme for individuals across Swansea. ● Held multiple workshops and community events at our farm, including collaborations with other local creators and businesses. ● Run a monthly community market, bringing together and supporting many other small businesses across Swansea and South Wales
