Mid Bedfordshire Community Fridge CIC

Mid Bedfordshire Community Fridge CIC is a private company limited by guarantee without share capital, incorporated in England and Wales. The company is registered as a Community Interest Company. The primary purpose of the company is to deliver the Toddington Community Fridge service, a volunteer-led surplus food redistribution project which aims to reduce food waste and support residents affected by financial hardship and the rising cost of living. The project began in August 2024 as a partnership between St George’s Church of England and Flitwick Town Council, operating as an extension of the established Flitwick Community Fridge service. This financial period represents the first year in which the service has been operated by Mid Bedfordshire Community Fridge CIC, having previously been delivered through Toddington Parochial Parish Council. Toddington Community Fridge operates every Saturday morning from Wilkinson Hall, providing a consistent and reliable surplus food redistribution service for the local community. The service is used by approximately 50 families each week. All food is provided free of charge. The company welcomes voluntary donations towards the operating costs of the service, however there is no requirement or expectation for residents to make a donation in order to receive food or support.
