PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT Livingstone Street Community Centre hosts a range of activities designed to benefit the residents of Birkenhead, most specifically those who live in and around Livingstone Street, by empowering them and improving access to information, advice, education and a range of leisure activities promoting social cohesion. The centre is open Monday to Saturday and a full timetable runs on a termly basis, with additional activities during holidays. As well as attending scheduled groups, the local community can use the centre as a drop in to get advice and support, and to use the computer suite, for example for job searches. Activities currently delivered from the centre include: Accredited training; Baby massage; Healthy eating and a social food coop; After school club; Child/parenting groups; contact sessions; support with employability skills; targeted groups such as a men's group. The centre continues to support the local community in this way, with a range of activities that reflect the needs and aspirations of the local community
