The demand for provision in the sector remains strong and the group continues to evolve its provisions to ensure it provides the highest standards of education and care for the changing needs of the young people referred to our schools and children’s homes. The in-house clinical resources are being expanded, along with the development of flexible learning programmes in order to most appropriately meet the needs of the young people. The group continually reviews its governance procedures and quality assurance processes to ensure the highest quality of its operations, which can be evidenced by the current Ofsted ratings of the schools and homes. During the year the group opened two new schools and commenced the development of a new site and A number of expansion projects at existing sites. This has been facilitated by the refinancing of the company’s banking facilities in 2023 and additional funding from the parent company. The developments will bring unused facilities and land back into community use, providing a service and employment to the local areas. The projects have been based upon demand from customers and to meet the needs of the young people they will look after or educate. They have allowed opportunities for the professional development of existing employees and have been done in ways that are sympathetic to the communities which we are part of. During the period the group had 41 residential and 893 day school places.
