Since its incorporation in 2020, amidst the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic and the cost of living crisis, J&C Soul CIC has been dedicated to serving the community. The impact of the Ukraine war in February 2022 further exacerbated social challenges, leading to a refugee influx and heightened need for support in the UK.In the financial year 2022-23, our educational and consultancy activities significantly benefited the community. We provided accessible legal advice, consultancy, and education, transforming legal support from a privilege to a universal right. By addressing critical issues such as the cost of living crisis, we've become lifelines for individuals facing complex legal challenges.In addition to providing pro bono legal services worth £100,000 to individuals from diverse ethnic backgrounds, we've solved over 80% of legal cases within multicultural communities. Our strategic collaborations with accredited education providers and renowned hospitality brands have empowered vulnerable populations, providing top-notch training and invaluable work placement opportunities in sectors like Hospitality, IT, Health and Social Care, and Business. These initiatives reflect our commitment to accessibility, inclusivity, and community empowerment.
