DIRECTOR’S REPORT For the period 30 September 2024 to 29 September 2025 INTERNATIONAL NEPALESE ARTIST SOCIETY UK CIC Director’s Report I present my report for the financial period from 30 September 2024 to 29 September 2025. Principal Activities The principal activity of INTERNATIONAL NEPALESE ARTIST SOCIETY UK CIC is to promote Nepali art, culture, language, and artistic expression within the United Kingdom. The CIC provides a platform for local Nepali artists and community members to participate in cultural and artistic activities that preserve, develop, and promote Nepali heritage. Business Review and Activities During the financial period, the CIC organised 2–3 cultural and community programmes involving local Nepali artists, performers, and community members. These programmes showcased Nepali music, dance, language, and cultural traditions, contributing to the preservation and promotion of cultural identity within the UK. The activities provided opportunities for local artists to perform, develop their skills, and engage with wider audiences. The programmes also encouraged community participation and helped strengthen social and cultural cohesion among Nepali families and the wider community. Governance and Executive Committee The CIC is supported by an Executive Committee, which operates on a three-year tenure. The Executive Committee is responsible for developing a long-term activity calendar covering a three-year planning cycle and providing guidance on the organisation’s cultural and community objectives. The Director, in consultation with the Executive Committee members, plans and delivers programmes and activities for the community. This collaborative governance structure ensures that the CIC’s activities remain aligned with community needs and its core objectives of promoting Nepali art, culture, and language in the UK. Stakeholder Engagement The CIC maintained informal consultation with key stakeholders, including local Nepali artists, community members, volunteers, and local community organisations. Feedback was gathered through direct conversations and engagement during and after events, which helped inform the planning and improvement of future activities. Director’s Responsibilities As the sole director, I am responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations, maintaining proper accounting records, safeguarding the assets of the CIC, and ensuring that the organisation operates in accordance with its community interest objectives and asset lock requirements. Future Outlook The CIC aims to continue delivering cultural and community-based programmes, expand engagement with local artists and community organisations, and further promote Nepali arts, culture, and language in the UK. The organisation remains committed to delivering clear community benefit through inclusive cultural initiatives.
