The principal activity of HGPE Steel Limited (the "Company") continued to be that of an investment holding company and an intermediary for intercompany borrowings. The Company was a designated member of A Shade Greener (F8) LLP ("ASG (F8) LLP"), Empower Community Solar LLP ("ECS LLP") and HGPE ASG2 Assetco LLP ("ASG2 Assetco LLP") during the year. Together with HGPE Steel Nominee Limited these form the "Group". The Company has borrowings from a third party lender, and has granted loans to ASG2 Assetco LLP. Borrowings consist of interest bearing loans. Going concern The Company has net assets of £2,971,661 (2023: £1,320,528) and a cash balance of £1,762,285 (2023: £1,837,175). The Company's forecasts and projections, taking account of reasonably possible changes in performance, show that the Company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for a period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of the financial statements. Accordingly, the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements. Dividends Dividends of £nil were paid during the year (2023: £1,100,000).
