Happiness Outdoors Project CIC

General description of the company’s activities and impact The company (Happiness Outdoors Project – HOP) runs weekly outdoor enrichment sessions throughout the school year for children in Ladysmith Junior School and Bowhill Primary School in Exeter. Supported by Outdoor Learning Facilitators and community volunteers, groups of children take part in nature-based activities on the school grounds to develop connections with nature, boosting emotional well-being. Activities have included composting, planting trees and flowers, growing, tending to and harvesting fruits, vegetables and herbs, caring for wildlife by building bug hotels, hedgehog houses and making birdfeeders and undertaking natural crafts using willow, hazel, elder and other natural materials.
