Glastonbury Dragons C.I.C.
The company’s stakeholders are the residents, business proprietors and sole traders of Glastonbury Town and local performers of all kinds in the area. The Directors of the CIC have lived in and around Glastonbury for many years, some of them all of their lives. The business model was developed from their experiences with other local events and conversations with local residents. The company was founded out of a group of residents that had regular consultations with other community members regarding the way forward with events. The Glastonbury Dragons CIC is now an established and active part of the Glastonbury Town Council’s Arts, Culture and Events (ACE) Committee. This Committee was formed to bring together all interested parties that are involved in organising events in Glastonbury Town. These meetings bring forward new ideas, intergroup co-operation, and a cohesive and coordinated approach that is of benefit to the town and surrounding areas. This Committee is also a useful and beneficial platform for debriefing post events to ensure standards are maintained and the community benefits of events are being met. The Glastonbury Dragons CIC also have an active online presence with a Facebook page and e-mail on which residents, tourists and general public are able to leave their feedback and ideas. A newly created web page has also been added to the social media profile.
