Since incorporation in November 2023 Dorset Craft Workshops has: Leased and equipped a building and made physical changes to improve its accessibility and environment Successfully applied for a local council grant Run a successful Crowdfund to purchase a pottery kiln Developed and run a range of courses (approaching 400 sessions in the first year) with 15+ tutors. Courses include: Woodcarving & Carpentry Silver Jewellery Making Lino Printing Painting & Drawing Bookbinding Stained Glass Pottery Basket Weaving Textiles Bronze Casting Calligraphy All of the above, with the appropriate technical and practical framework, has supported local artists and makers in developing their businesses, including supporting three students to begin tutoring courses themselves.
