Chiltern Voice C.I.C.
The directors present their report and the unaudited financial statements for the period ended 30 April 2025. Activity Chiltern Voice C.I.C. holds the Ofcom Community FM Radio Licence to provide community broadcasting to the Chilterns, primarily Chesham, Amersham Great Missenden and the surrounding towns and villages. The station is in its fourth year of operating under its Ofcom FM broadcast licence, and we have been invited by Ofcom to apply (and intend to do so) for a further five years of operating. The C.I.C. operates on a not-for-profit basis with all its Directors, Shareholders, Members and Volunteers operating on an unpaid voluntary basis. Incorporation The company was incorporated as Chiltern Voice Ltd. on 4 April 2016 and commenced trading on the same date. To better reflect the nature of the organisation as an Ofcom licensed community station, run by unpaid volunteers the management team and directors agreed that the organisation should transition from a Limited Company to a Community Interest Company. The management team and the directors approved the transition on 20 February 2023 and subsequently the member’s constitution was amended and approved by the members at an AGM held on 8 March 2023. On 10 Mar 2023 the name (and legal basis) was approved by the regulator and changed to Chiltern Voice C.I.C. This is our second full financial year of operating and reporting as a CIC.
