Bristol Horn Youth Concern CIC

The principal activity of the company during the period was providing support, activities and financial assistance to disadvantaged young Somalis and their families living in Bristol. Bristol Horn Youth Concern is a Community Interest Company (CIC) committed to providing support for young individuals in the Easton and Lawerence Hill areas of Bristol. We aim to give young people a better start in life by offering opportunities to meet new people, learn new skills, and engage in physical activities. Our range of activities includes sports, workshops, and community events that are open to all. We also run community events and support services in response to the needs of our community. In the past, we have delivered food and information leaflets during the Covid-19 pandemic and organised family picnics during the school summer holidays. Additionally, we offer training to help young people understand their environment and make better choices. Our events have addressed various topics, such as gang grooming, relationships, leadership skills, and job application processes. We provide a variety of sports activities, including football, basketball, martial arts, and swimming, accessible to everyone regardless of experience level. We also offer detached work and mentoring to further support the youth in our community.
