Beloved Theatre Company CIC
During the 2024–2025 financial year, the company debuted it's first play as part of a local fringe festival, marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s growth and creative development. The production achieved the following impact: - Sold out both performances, reaching a combined audience of over 300 people aged 10–65, demonstrating strong intergenerational appeal and community engagement. - Created seven paid roles across acting and scenographic roles, providing professional employment and practical experience for creatives from underrepresented backgrounds within the local community. - Offered emerging artists valuable work experience, strengthened professional networks, and created tangible pathways into the creative industries. In addition, the company was awarded funding through the Windrush Day Grant Scheme 2025 by the Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government. This funding enabled the delivery of several workshops culminating in a community celebration event. The project aligned with the scheme’s objectives to foster a greater sense of national pride and recognition of the historic and ongoing contributions of the Windrush generation and their descendants to UK society, while also supporting the development of young people’s skills, confidence, and entrepreneurial ambitions. Through this initiative, the company delivered the following impact: - Partnered with local youth organisations to support five young people to develop confidence, public speaking, leadership, and collaborative skills through structured workshops. - Created trading opportunities for 15 underrepresented, community based businesses, enabling them to showcase and sell their products to new audiences. - Delivered a free, inclusive community event attended by over 60 local residents from vulnerable groups, providing food, live entertainment, and educational content on the history and legacy of the Windrush generation.
