MENTAL HEALTH MENTORING: Has allowed a strong network within our community to be created for 1-1 help. Matching mentors who have experienced and overcome mental health issues with vulnerable young people aged between 15–25 years. Mentors have taken on the role of befriender, listener and mediator, to provide the mentee a safe place to share mental health struggles, empowering them on a level which will help to improve self-worth, self-assurance and reduce rates of loneliness and mental ill health. We have matched 15 mentors and mentees. AGENCY TRAINING: We have delivered two agency mental health training workshops within the fashion industry. Training is implemented to help educate agency staff to recognise mental health issues such as eating disorders and anxiety and to provide further information on sign posting for additional support. ONLINE WORKSHOPS: The Be Well Collective provides ongoing support through regular workshops, where we combine education with practical evidence based advice, supported by our collective of experts. Each workshop has allowed young adults to reduce the risk of isolation and loneliness, whilst seeking expert help and guidance on mental health. ONLINE EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES: We have continuously delivered web based resources that our community can utilise to better educate themselves around topics of health and wellbeing. Our online educational resources mean that we are able to support models regardless of location and provide support and education on areas of mental health, nutrition and wellbeing. The content provided by The Be Well Collective is also relevant and applicable to all young people, regardless of occupation and so our online presence can also be accessed by the younger generation outside of the fashion community. LIVE WELL, BE WELL PODCAST: The Live Well Be Well podcast provides evidence-based information from a host of experts on topics and support helplines arcing mental health, eating disorders, low self-worth, and nutrition. Helping to educate and spread awareness of these issues across our community. We have delivered over 50 episodes this year.
