Banger Factory Records CIC

Banger Factory Records CIC has provided a safe space for those within the community to develop and nature their craft without the pressures put on individuals who want to enter the music industry. The label began operating in September 2021. We have built and continue to build and nurture positive relationships for personal and professional development. Encouraging collaboration between artists and fostering a norm of continuous collective improvement. During the financial year 2021-2022 the labels activities have benefited the community in the following ways: Released Kinetika Bloco’s first album celebrating their 21st anniversary. Kinetika Bloco is a performance group with an exuberant mix of young brass and woodwind players, drummers, steel pan and dynamic dancers all in costume creating a “unique new British Carnival sound with a decidedly London edge” whose mission is to get young people from South London engaged in long-term creative activity advancing their education, skills, and capacity.The label funded a three month publicity campaign for the Kinetika Bloco release (Legacy) to ensure that the album got as much publicity as possible. The label commissioned a local artist to create the album artwork for the Kinetika Bloco Release. the label has provided part-time employment for 5 local residents. The label funded and released a collaborative project between two local artists – Paying for the mixing, mastering, artwork, CD design and publicity campaign.
