The company’s principal activities throughout the year centred on promoting mental health awareness, providing culturally competent emotional support, and reducing inequalities in access to mental health and wellbeing services in Wales. BMHS delivers a range of community-based services including mental health training, information and guidance sessions, crisis and emotional support, bereavement and pre-bereavement support, employability programmes, youth activities, older people’s wellbeing sessions, and advocacy to improve health equity. The organisation operates a community hub in central Swansea, offering a single point of access for drop-ins, workshops, group activities, and partnership events. BMHS works with all communities, while placing particular emphasis on meeting the needs of ethnic minority individuals who may face cultural, linguistic, or structural barriers to mainstream support.
