Autism Champions CIC

Active13001184EducationIncorporated 6 Nov 2020 · Oxford

During the financial year, Autism Champions continued to deliver activities that directly benefited the autistic and ADHD community in Oxfordshire and beyond. The company supported autistic and ADHD children and young people to remain in education, access appropriate support outside of formal education, and participate in social and developmental activities that would otherwise have been inaccessible to them. Autism Champions also provided support to parents and carers, enabling them to better support their children’s needs while continuing in employment. This support reduced pressure on families, improved wellbeing, and helped prevent social isolation. The company focused on building a strong, inclusive community for neurodivergent individuals through both online engagement and face-to-face events. Social media platforms and in-person activities were used to connect autistic and ADHD individuals and their families, promote peer support, and increase understanding and acceptance within the wider community. All activities undertaken during the year were carried out in line with Autism Champions’ community purpose and were designed to deliver clear social benefit by improving access to support, strengthening families, and fostering connection and inclusion within the neurodivergent community.
