The Company is a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee, established to support and promote the welfare, integration, education and cultural identity of the Romanian community in the United Kingdom. Principal Activities The principal activities of the Company during the year were supporting Romanian families and children residing in the United Kingdom, organising educational, cultural and social activities, promoting community cohesion and integration, and providing guidance and assistance to vulnerable members of the Romanian community. A central focus of the Company s work during the reporting period has been supporting children in their education. The main purpose of the educational initiatives delivered by the Company has been to assist children in strengthening their academic development, improving confidence and enhancing their integration within the UK education system. The directors consider educational support to be fundamental to long term community wellbeing and social inclusion. Directors and Persons with Significant Control The directors and Persons with Significant Control have served throughout the year and have taken responsibility for overseeing the strategic direction, governance and financial stewardship of the Company. During the reporting period, the directors faced significant challenges in raising independent funds and securing sustainable income streams to support the Company s activities. Despite ongoing efforts including outreach to potential sponsors, community fundraising initiatives and partnership development, fundraising capacity remained limited due to economic pressures and reduced availability of community donations. Funding and Grants In order to continue delivering essential community services, the Company successfully applied for and received grant funding during the year. These grants were critical in enabling the Company to sustain and develop its educational and community programmes. Grant funding was used responsibly and in line with the objectives set by funders, ensuring that resources directly benefited children and families within the Romanian community in the United Kingdom. Community Impact and Activities With the support of grant funding and volunteer efforts, the Company organised and delivered a range of activities aimed primarily at supporting children s education and overall wellbeing. These included educational workshops and supplementary learning sessions, literacy and language development support, cultural and community events promoting Romanian heritage and identity, and support sessions for families navigating life in the UK. These initiatives provided tangible benefits by improving children s academic confidence, reinforcing key skills and supporting their integration within the UK education system. Feedback from participants and families has been positive and demonstrates meaningful community impact. Volunteers and Community Support The Company s work would not have been possible without the dedication and commitment of volunteers and community members. The directors express their sincere gratitude for their time, skills and continued support. The Company has also made payments to teachers in order to sustain these activities. Future Plans Looking ahead, the directors intend to strengthen fundraising strategies and diversify income streams, build partnerships with local authorities and community organisations, apply for additional grant funding to ensure sustainability, and expand educational programmes aimed at supporting young people and vulnerable families. The directors remain committed to improving financial resilience while continuing to prioritise children s education as a core objective of the Company. Directors Responsibilities The directors acknowledge their responsibility for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations. They confirm that the Company continues to operate in accordance with its community interest objectives.
