Apricot Centre CIC
The Apricot Centre CIC is a multi-functional organisation operating across farming, education, consultancy, and therapeutic wellbeing, with a shared aim of creating resilient, regenerative, and community-centred approaches to land use and care. Core Areas of Work: The farm produces a diverse mix of arable, horticultural, and livestock goods, supplying fresh organic food to both direct customers and wholesale markets. Alongside this, the Apricot Centre delivers accredited Level 2–4 training in regenerative farming, permaculture, biodynamics, and agroforestry, equipping learners with the practical and theoretical skills needed for sustainable land management. Its consultancy work supports farmers and landowners to transition towards regenerative systems, offering expertise in soil health, biodiversity, carbon sequestration, and whole-farm design. In parallel, the Centre delivers therapeutic wellbeing services for children and young people, particularly those experiencing mental health challenges, often in partnership with local authorities. Community Impact: The Apricot Centre works with a wide range of beneficiaries. Local communities benefit from access to healthy, organic food, while surplus produce is redistributed through initiatives such as Food in Community. Learners and trainees gain valuable skills and qualifications to support careers in sustainable agriculture. Farmers and land managers receive tailored support to improve resilience and environmental outcomes. The Centre also engages the wider public through open days, farm walks, and educational visits, offering hands-on experiences such as foraging, harvesting, and cooking. Through this integrated model, the Apricot Centre strengthens local food systems, supports environmental regeneration, and enhances community wellbeing.
