The Village Orchard East CIC
In the financial year 2024 – 2025, we have continued and grown our reach providing high quality, psychological support to our community. In October 2024 we moved into our current home at Carrow House in Norwich. Carrow House is a council owned space which is being managed by Norwich Unity Hub, a charity who have a mission of taking unused and council owned spaces and opening them up at an affordable rent and for use by not-for-profit organisations, community groups and artists. Creating community hubs and opportunities for linked up working and collaboration. Due to the reduced amount that we are now paying for rent and rates at this location, we have grown from having just two Therapy rooms, back up to three rooms for sessions, a dedicated waiting room and an office space. This extra space has allowed us to open our doors back up to students again, offer more sessions and once again focus on growing the arm of our service that supports ‘sliding scale fee options’ for our 1:1 Therapy clients who may struggle financially to access support elsewhere. We offer self-referring clients fee options from a sliding scale of between £30 - £65 per session, with a small number of spaces held for those unable to afford those costs. We refer to these clients as VOE clients. In October 2024, the number of VOE clients being supported and paying a fee that they chose themselves stood at 27%. The remainder were clients through funded pathways. At the end of September 2025, the number of clients being supported and paying an amount they have selected had grown to 63%. In the year 24-25 we provided 580 1:1 sessions of psychological support to children, young people and adults. Since opening our doors in 2019, we have provided 3562 1:1 sessions, 2171 of which are non-funded clients, who have selected their own fee from our sliding scale. We offer self-referring clients (k/a VOE clients) fee options from a sliding scale of between £30 - £65 per session, with a small number of spaces held for those unable to afford those costs. Timeline: • October 2024 – Move into Carrow House with other organisations and groups from VCSE sector • January 2025 - Student placements reopen and first student begins their placement (child & adolescent psychotherapeutic counsellor - Cambridge) • May 2025 - Second student placement begins (Applied psychology - Metanoia Insti-tute) • July 2025 - Natalie provides Therapeutic session to Big C service users • July 2025 - Two team members provide a 6-week group for Year 6 students who will struggle with the transition to high school.
