During the year, Women’s Whispers CIC continued to provide essential support to women and children experiencing domestic violence, abuse, and gender based harm. Our work focused particularly on women from ethnic minority communities across the UK, many of whom face additional cultural, social, or immigration-related barriers when seeking help. Our core activities included Distribution of food parcels and culturally appropriate groceries Provision of bedding, warm clothing, shoes, and children’s items Supplying toiletries, personal hygiene products, SIM cards, and internet boxes Emotional support, advocacy, and ongoing check-ins Signposting and referrals to housing, legal, counselling, and safeguarding services Emergency support for women fleeing violence or dealing with crisis situations These services were delivered with cultural sensitivity, confidentiality, and deep understanding informed by our lived experience and grassroots leadership. We ensured that every woman received non judgmental, trauma-aware support in a safe and welcoming environment.
