My Eco Baby Community Interest Company

My Eco Baby CIC covers the area of Wakefield MDC. The community residents and businesses donate used children’s clothes, toys, and other baby related items. These are prepared for re-sale in the shop. The shop aims to target customers that are socially disadvantaged and sell things that are priced within budgets. Some items are also donated to those in need. The CIC works with colleges to provide placements for students with special needs. Volunteers are also recruited who will benefit for an 'in work' experience. School holidays and Saturdays activities are run for children. During term time groups run to support parents/carers in the community. We had a very successful sea side trip for families who could not afford a day out, visiting the mini railway museum, with a picnic and games on Bridlington beach.
