Mid Surrey Community Fridges CIC

During the last year Mid Surrey Community Fridges has; Collected 262,532kg of food which equates to 583,404 meals Helped around 896 households. 374 of these households have children under 18 years old, 40 households have a disability. Most of these households are repeat visitors each week. Operated out of 21 locations supported by 3 refrigerated vans. Provided volunteering opportunities for over 150 people. Run slow cooker courses at their Leatherhead hub. Provided services such as visits from the DWP, job application support from Clarion Futures, and accessible exercise classes. Promoted healthy eating and the opportunity to try new foods by posting a variety of recipes on our social media platforms. Issued 100 summer hamper bags to provide additional food over the school summer holiday period to families struggling financially.
