Kickstart Coffee Community Interest Company

The principle activity of the company is that of a social enterprise to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to: Empower communities in Uganda through the ethical sourcing and sale of specialty coffee, ensuring fair and transparent partnerships with smallholder farmers; Reinvest profits into initiatives that advance education, nutrition, health care, poverty reduction, and sustainable development; Pay fair and sustainable wages to teachers and school staff to support and strengthen local education systems; Provide funding for nutritious meals for children attending schools supported by the Company; Support sustainable agriculture and climate resilience through the planting of coffee trees and other crops that enhance food security, increase the income of smallholder farmers and promote environmental protection; Support smallholder coffee farmers by purchasing coffee at a fair price and contributing to the long-term stability and development of their communities; Promote the success of the Company for the benefit of its members as a whole and, through its business and operations, to have a material positive impact on society and the environment taken as a whole.
