I'D Like To Borrow CIC

The company runs three separate businesses under the heading of Id Like To Borrow. We have a lending library of tools, household items and other rarely used items. Under Id Like A Bike, we run a bike donation and renovation shop, and finally, under Id Like A Bus, we run a fleet of three community transport minibuses. The CIC activities have benefited the community in the following ways: Strengthen community resources, encourage collaborative consumption and peer-to-peer borrowing. This ensures that everyone has access to the tools they need to be able to carry out household maintenance and household improvement projects without having to rely on expensive tool hire or purchasing pricy tools This reduces carbon emissions and resource consumption, which reduces waste at landfill sites. Id Like A Bike is a new service that provides bikes for people who are financially struggling. This includes care leavers, refugees, and underprivileged families. We provide second-hand bikes so that people can get to work, school, or even just to enjoy leisure time exploring local greenways. Id Like A Bus (formerly Bernwode Bus) provides access to transport for members and groups in rural communites that have unmet needs. We cater for: Elderly groups,Volunteer groups, Community groups ,Disabled groups, Schools,Sports clubs and Youth clubs.
