It's main activities are parallel importation and distribution of branded medicines from within the European Economic Area and the importation and distribution of generic medicines. Parallel Imports The company continues to operate in a challenging and a very competitive environment. By its nature the business has low margins and the cost of regulatory compliance continues to increase.The increases in the Employer’s National Insurance rate and the minimum wage which were recently announced in the budget will have a significant effect on the business. Generic Medicines The company is investing to grow this business. It remains a high risk business with long lead times and high upfront research and development costs, and volatile market demand for its products and prices.
