During 2025, Downtown Pompey's principal activities included: Delivery of participatory arts and community engagement programmes across Portsmouth. Development and delivery of creative projects with young people through schools, youth groups and community settings. Production of performances, exhibitions and public events that celebrate local stories, heritage and contemporary culture. Facilitation of community consultation and co-creation processes to inform artistic programmes and organisational development. Delivery of heritage projects, oral history collection and community-led research. Support for artists, facilitators and creative practitioners through paid opportunities, training and professional development. Delivery of workshops, creative learning programmes and skills development activities. Partnership working with schools, cultural organisations, local authorities, community groups and voluntary sector organisations. Activation of public spaces through place-based cultural activity, outreach and high street engagement. Promotion of equality, inclusion and representation through projects that amplify underrepresented voices and experiences.
