Community Wellbeing Ni C.I.C.
Community Wellbeing NI C.I.C. is a not-for-profit social enterprise actively engaged in the fight against loneliness. It is our mission to combat social isolation by connecting people through fun & easily accessible indoor & outdoor activity so that everyone in our community can connect & stay connected, no matter what. At its core, Community Wellbeing NI C.I.C. embraces positivity and empowerment. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to live their best life; we are committed to delivering programmes and activities that empower those who are working to overcome challenges, with compassion and without judgement. We believe in the unique power of connecting with others, indoors and outdoors. and the regeneration that comes from time spent in connection with likeminded people. We believe in the need for relaxation to restore and build resilience. We commit to removing barriers to participation. We commit to develop social connection and community building. We commit to being kind, compassionate and respectful toward others. We commit to explore and understand the needs of others so we can practice equitable processes at all times that create equality for all. Our focus areas for this accounting period include the development of social connection and community building for members of armed forces family (serving, veterans, family members, carers and support workers), particularly women who have served and are currently serving. We are also focussed on the development and delivery of accessible indoor and outdoor activity that enhances wellbeing, including but not limited to: cooking, crafting, conserving & connecting. And, as we look to the future, we are focussed on establishing financial sustainability for our projects to ensure they endure beyond initial sponsorship and grant funding.
