Part one Family Play & Connect (Outreach) — newly expanded Pop-up family play sessions delivered in museums, libraries, parks and community halls, co-hosted with local partners. These sessions are intergenerational and culture-sharing, helping families communicate better, reduce isolation and discover free public spaces for play they can revisit. How we work Play as a bridge: We celebrate each child’s uniqueness and use play (verbal and non-verbal) to improve communication, self-regulation and relationships at home and in school. Child’s voice: Children help plan activities and reflect on what works for them; we embed their feedback in weekly and termly plans. Affordability: We keep fees accessible, with concessions and bursaries where possible, so families who most need support can access it without stigma. Partnerships & outreach: We collaborate with local museums, libraries, schools and community groups to reach families who may not access traditional services, and to connect them with free cultural resources on their doorstep. Impact Children show improved confidence, attendance and engagement, with better emotional regulation and peer relationships. Parents report stronger communication at home and reduced stress around wraparound care. Community outreach sessions are reducing isolation and helping families reclaim public spaces for low-cost, regular play. Who we serve We currently support 200+ families across Waltham Forest and Hackney, with growing outreach through our Family Play & Connect sessions in libraries and museums as well as schools and neighbourhood venues. Part two The companies stake holders are families we provide service to, and work in partnership with museums/libraries. We issue out questionnaires to our families, libraries and museums to get feedback on the service we provide and what difference the service is making to their lives and the lives of their children. It gives us pointers as to the times we are operating, and what activities parents would like for themselves and their families. It also allows us to determine if there are any areas of our service that can be improved and how we can reach more families.
