PART 1 - GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the fiscal year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community. Our coffee shop and community hub are based within the grounds of Flakefleet Primary School, Fleetwood, voted the happiest school in England, succeeded to the finals on ITV Britain Got Talent and nearly achieved a Christmas number 1 single. It is a school who "Dares to Dream,” led by David McPartlin, a Head Teacher with ambition, dynamism, and innovation. Our second Trustee is Dr Mark Spencer, a local GP of 30 years who pioneered and led the development of “Healthier Fleetwood” which has attracted national attention and exposure, adopting a resident and community led approach to health improvements. We recruited a third trustee in March 2025 who brings a different skill set to balance our leadership team. Lucy Burnett is the deputy head teacher at Flakefleet Primary School We would not be in existence if it were not for the relationships we have with two key organisations. We are the benefactor of £350k capital and revenue funding from Fylde Coast Medical Services (FCMS) to bring a derelict building back into use and secure 3 years of revenue funding at £50k per annum. FCMS is a Social Enterprise health and wellbeing services provider who are enthusiastic in their drive to deliver exceptional care to patients, who are the central focus of all that they do. We also secured the free services from a former pupil of the school who is now a national director of Café Nero who provided equipment, furniture, staff training, and business advice. Beyond the coffee shop offer, we deliver wrap around services designed to improve the health and wellbeing of Fleetwood. These include Domestic Abuse support groups (Fylde Coast Women's Aid) , Adult Learning (Blackpool and Fylde College) , Community Policing (Lancashire Police) , Parental support ( Lancashire County Council ) , Health Services (NHS England) , Pet Foodbank , Social groups ( Aqua ladies , Crochet , Art ,Craft and carers) , Kids Holiday Clubs ( Wyre Council) , Social Prescribing ( Fleetwood Primary Care Trust) and events and promotions for children. Our customers start with primary children who receive a free breakfast before they go to school each day , professionals who hot desk from the coffee shop , business and statutory service key workers who we have relationships with , coffee lovers , foodies and the wider public. If you think back to the old days of Youth clubs, customers will describe us as a "Family Club". How we assess our impact: We measure what Social Value we are creating. We also use the Warwick and Edinburgh University mental wellbeing scale to measure the impact in peoples wellbeing The Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WEMWBS) https://warwick.ac.uk/fac/sci/med/research/platform/wemwbs/ During 2024/25, we contributed £1.1m of social value to our community as follows ; Strive Summer Family club - £324k social Value Becoming More Me Project - £405k Social Value Training/upskilling - £42k Social Value Volunteering - £64k Social Value Employment - £86k Social Value Social Groups - £151K Social Value Other output activities include: - 520 hours of volunteering time. 2238 FREE breakfast meals to children before they attend school in a morning - 238 Free spaces to see Father Christmas and receive a free gift - 2 job fairs from which 6 individuals received job offers - 278 attendees at free group sessions to assist customers with their resilience, personal development and wellbeing - Weekly coffee mornings for community groups to come together - 20 study group sessions to assist customers with basic Math's and English via Blackpool and Fylde college - 570 attendees at weekly Baby sensory classes - 456 attendees at weekly parenting classes - 180 attendees at weekly women’s support service - 360 attendees at Community wellbeing Bingo sessions
