(a) to further the education and training of socially excluded people resident in Midlothian, including young people by providing them with opportunities for voluntary work in the field of social and community service. (b) to relieve poverty and social distress caused by lack of income or unemployment by means of offering information and promoting and developing social enterprise activities. (c) to protect and preserve the environment for the public benefit by educating the public in the benefits of sustainable waste management practices and carrying out research and development into sustainable waste management practices and the dissemination of useful search results.
